CIRKISH TEAM

The COACHES are highly qualified, trained circus performers who exhibit a drive and ability to inspire youth through their coaching, mentoring, and leadership. Their primary focus is to create a safe environment and facilitate circus experiences that promote and foster an increase in self-esteem and social interaction for their students. CirKISH coaches are U.S. Center for Safesport trained.

IVAN DOTSENKO

Ivan is a certified rigger and earned a certificate in Digital Imaging and Videography from Montreal’s Concordia University.

 

After a career performing abroad, Ivan came to the United States with the famous Moscow Circus.

Ivan is a multi-skilled performer and has worked with some of the top entertainment companies in the world including Disney, Cavalia, Seaworld, and Universal Studios. Ivan was also a lead performer in the Broadway Production of Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy. 

He has coached at some of the top circus schools in North America including the San Diego Circus Center, Cirque School Los Angeles, and Mendocino Center for Circus Arts.

DAVID DEDERA

Dave DeDera started his circus career at the age of 19 by attending Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus Clown College. After traveling with the famed circus for 6 years he continued his circus path here in Las Vegas at Circus Circus Hotel & Casino.

Dave has performed on multiple international tours, stage shows, corporate events, film, and TV. Dave has spent the past 25 years teaching and coaching the circus arts to students of all ages. Dave has taught at his alma-matter; Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Clown College, as well as coordinated the Las Vegas chapter of Cirque du Soleil’s social circus program Cirque du Monde. 

Dave has also taught for The City of Las Vegas’s New Direction Youth Arts Program (where his circus arts program won the ‘Michelle Obama’s National Coming Up Taller award’).

CARLY SHERIDAN

Carly Sheridan holds a B.F.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies/Dance from Montreal’s Concordia University. She is a certified STOTT Pilates instructor and has completed a certificate in Non-Profit Management at UNLV.

 

Carly has coached at the prestigious École National De Cirque and was involved with coordinating the original social circus program ‘Cirque du Monde’ when it was first implemented in rural communities throughout Québec, Canada. She is often solicited for her knowledge of circus education and has helped develop curriculums for a variety of schools in the US and Canada. 

Her performance credits include Cirque du Soleil, Broadway productions, cruise ships, European cabarets, international festivals, Broadway series national tours, symphonic orchestras, and international television appearances. 

The JUNIOR COACHES are CirKISH students that assist the COACHES during CirKISH classes. The JUNIOR COACHES continue to train with the CirKISH program and have been students for 5 years. They are required to maintain an ongoing engagement as participants in the program so that they may continue to improve their skills while inspiring the next generation of CirKISH students.
